Marcos Rojo is convinced that Angel di Maria will impress during his second season at Manchester United

Marcos Rojo is convinced that Angel di Maria will come good in his second season at Manchester United, despite his disappointing start to life at Old Trafford.

The winger endured a stop-start first campaign in the Premier League after joining the Red Devils from Real Madrid in a club-record £59.7m deal last summer.
Di Maria only managed to score three goals and notch up 11 assists in the Premier League last season as Louis van Gaal’s men secured a fourth-placed finish in the top-flight.
His stuttering form has led to suggestions that he could be set to quit Old Trafford this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain reported to be interested in luring him to France.
However, Rojo believes that it is normal for it to take some time for players to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League and is backing Di Maria to impress from next season onwards.
Rojo is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror: “People forget Di Maria last season was adapting to a new league.
“They just saw a big transfer fee, and maybe didn’t think about England being very different from Spain – it’s a lot more physical.
“He’s one of the best in the world and on his day can do things like Messi and Ronaldo, that’s the level he’s on.
“I’m sure this coming season we will see very special things from him.”
