Real Madrid will try to secure a deal for Manchester City's Sergio Aguero this summer, despite the striker insisting that he is happy to remain in England, reports AS.
Madrid club president Florentino Perez is thought to want to continue bringing more galacticos into the side and the Premier League golden boot winner fits the bill perfectly.
His is also familiar with Spain, having played with Atletico Madrid before moving to Manchester. He scored 74 goals in 175 appearances for los Colchoneros.
“The truth is, yes, I’m very happy,” Aguero said at a promotional event.
“I’m enjoying these four years that I’ve had at City and there are still many more years to come. I’m very happy.
“Every year City try to improve the team, and while I don’t know how it will be next season, obviously the club always wants us to win titles.
“City are prepared to win titles every year. Obviously the Champions League is a great competition and I think that City are doing everything to win it.”
City lost out to Chelsea in the race for last season's Premier League title as Jose Mourinho's men stayed top of the league for most of the season.
Aguero's goals could be pivotal in helping to win back the crown that they won two seasons ago.
