Manchester United are reportedly close to striking a deal to make their second signing of the summer.
The Red Devils completed a £25m move for Dutch winger Memphis Depay earlier this week.
And it seems that United will use the same size of transfer fee to land Valencia centre-back Nicolas Otamendi.
Italian journalist Nicolo Schira suggests that United have agreed a £25m fee for the 27-year-old, who could put pen to paper on a four-year contract at Old Trafford.
Otamendi, who has been capped 19 times by Argentina at senior international level, has a £36m release clause in his current contract at Valenc
The Daily Star quote Schira as saying: “Manchester United looking to close the deal for Nicolas Otamendi from Valencia for £25m.
“MUFC has offered a contract until 2019.”
