City eyeing move for England defender - Manchester City are getting ready to overhaul their team this summer and The Star claims that Danny Rose is their top defensive target ahead of a move this summer. Aleksandar Kolarov has struggled and looks to be on his way to Italy, while Gael Clichy has been a disappointment, so the Citizens need a left back. They also want to get younger and need to satisfy the English homegrown rules. Rose helps them on all three fronts, and City plan to submit a £15 million bid to Spurs in the hopes of snagging the full-back. Rose is the man they want to freshen up their squad with a young and hungry English player.
Paper Round's view - Rose has become one of Mauricio Pochettino's favourite players so Spurs will not sell the full-back on the cheap. That said, they do have Ben Davies waiting to take over at left back if need be and Daniel Levy has never been one to pass up on a good deal so it's not as if Rose can't be had. City will likely have to spend more than £15 million to land Rose, but if they decide he is their man and are willing to pay closer to £20 million, the Citizens could land the 24-year-old.
Everton could be priced out of Lennon deal - Spurs' valuation of Aaron Lennon could keep Everton from buying him. The Guardian understands that the Toffees would like to make their loan of Lennon permanent, but that they are unlikely to meet Tottenham's price of £9 million. Spurs likeKevin Mirallas, but it's doubtful they could use him as a makeweight to get a deal for Lennon done so Lennon may be going back to Spurs even though he has no place in the team under Pochettino.
Paper Round's view - Lennon is in a tough spot. He has no reason to be at Spurs because he would rarely play there, but £9 million isn't small change and it will be tough to find a team willing to pay that for him. Normally, that would mean the selling club would lower their price, but Levy isn't normal - he has his price and sticks to it. That could mean Lennon is a Spurs player next season, even if he is glued to the bench. And Everton will be left empty-handed.

Euro Papers: Liverpool offered Mateo Kovacic by desperate Inter Milan

La Gazzetta dello Sport today reports that one of the most promising playmakers in Europe could be snared in a sensational coup by Liverpool.

Chelsea set for summer rebuild - Jose Mourinho is going to sign a new contract with Chelsea that will take him through 2019, and then he's reportedly going to rebuild his squad. The Blues just won the title, but The Mirror believes that they still want to overhaul the team and that means signingAntoine Griezmann, Alesandre Lacazette, Raphael Varane and Vicente Guaita. Chelsea want reinforcements in attack, midfield, defence and in goal, and Roman Abramovich is apparently going to back Mourinho's efforts to strengthen the team in every spot.
Paper Round's view - Chelsea proved to be the class act of the Premier League, but they fell short in the Champions League so they know they need to get better. Mourinho sees holes, be it in a lack of quality or a lack of depth, and you can bet on the Blues spending big this summer. It's just a matter of who they spend their money on. Griezmann will be tough to sign and Varane may be impossible, but Lacazette and Guaita can be had. Plus, there are still the likes of Gareth Bale andPaul Pogba out there, so the Blues are going to have a busy summer.
United may keep Falcao as part of De Gea deal - Manchester United may get stuck with Radamel Falcao if they sign David De Gea, according to The Manchester Evening News. Both De Gea and Falcao are represented by the same agent, Jorge Mendes, and the Red Devils are preparing for having to retain Falcao to appease the agent and give them a chance to keep De Gea.
Paper Round's view - Falcao has little reason to return to United. He's not a Louis van Gaal favourite and he's still under contract with Monaco so he's guaranteed a pay cheque. Why would he want to spend another year at Old Trafford? Even if Mendes wants to get two deals done at once with United, Falcao still has to sign off on it and that looks unlikely.

Bournemouth to bid club record £5m for Eder - Bournemouth are preparing for the Premier League by throwing big money around. Well, big money by their standards at least. The Cherries will bid a club record £5 million on Portugal international Eder, according to The Telegraph. That puts them into a transfer fight with Southampton, who are also interested in the striker, but they can at least claim to submitting the first offer so they get the first word.
Paper Round's view - Bournemouth aren't going to out-spend many teams. That's especially true of teams who have been in the top flight for several years. That means they have to scout well, spend wisely and take advantage where they can. Being the first team to submit a bid is certainly finding an advantage. If Southampton really want Eder, they can out-bid Bournemouth, but at least the Cherries have a chance now
