After holding a slender advantage going into the second leg at 1-1, the Ukrainian side grabbed the decisive goal in the second half through Yevhen Seleznyov's header to send Rafa Benitez's side crashing out.
Napoli, who had been considered favourites for the competition, had a host of chances throughout but Gonzalo Higuain was particularly profligate in front of goal, although Denis Bokyo impressed in goal.

Dnipro, who focused mainly on preventing Napoli settling into a rhythm, had Yevhen Konoplyanka to thank as the tricky winger showed why he is so sought after with an impressive display including the cross for Selezynov's goal.
Matheus Nascimento headed against the bar in stoppage time but Dnipro had already done enough to set up a meeting with four-time champions Sevilla, who eased through to the final with a 5-0 aggregate win over Fiorentina.

Having taken a 3-0 lead to Florence, Sevilla netted twice in the opening half-hour as Carlos Bacca scored his 26th of the season before Daniel Carrico ended any faint hopes of a Fiorentina comeback soon after.
The hosts had a chance to rescue something from the game after David Pizarro was brought down inside the area, but Josip Ilicic smashed the resulting spot-kick horribly over the bar to sum up a miserable night for Vincenzo Montella and his side.
