Chelsea have registered an interest in Atletico midfielder Koke and central defender Diego Godin.

Chelsea, the Premier League champions, have already set their sights on the summer transfer window. Jose Mourinho will be looking to build a squad to his own taste that can challenge European big boys in the Champions League. Having won trophies at every club he has managed, the Portuguese has stated his desire to stay at Chelsea for a long time and build a strong legacy, similar to what Sir Alex Ferguson did with Manchester United.

The Guardian reported recently that Chelsea have set their sight on Atletico Madrid’s French forward Antonio Griezmann. The former Real Sociedad forward has enjoyed a brilliant campaign for the Rojiblancos, where he scored 25 goals this season. He has effectively replaced Diego Costa at the club, and Diego Simeone would not easily sell him (has a reported £43m release clause) to Chelsea or any other club.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Blues have also registered an interest in Atletico midfielder Koke and central defender Diego Godin.

Koke has emerged into one of the finest young midfielders in Spain and many consider him as the perfect replacement of Xavi in the Spain national team. The Spaniard has time and again stated his desire to stay in the Capital club and it would take a massive transfer fee to prise him away from Vicente Calderon.
Likewise, Godin is committed to the Atletico’s project and doesn’t want to leave either. Chelsea are planning to add Filipe Luis as a part of the deal to lure the 29-year-old Uruguayan to the Stamford Bridge in the summer.
