MANCHESTER UNITED INCREASE BID FOR REAL MADRID DEFENDER SERGIO RAMOS

It has been reported that Manchester United have tabled an improved bid for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

AS says United have lodged a second bid for Ramos of around £42.5million.
United have already seen one bid of around £32million rejected by Real, who want closer to £50million, and now a report in the Spanish newspaper AS has claimed that the club have submitted a second offer of €60million (£42.5million).
This is also likely to be rejected by Real as they hold out for their asking price, although there are suspicions that United may be being used by the player to try and engineer a new contract in Spain.
