Manchester United are on the verge of completing their second signing of the summer transfer window after having a £20million offer forSouthampton star Morgan Schneiderlin accepted.
The midfielder has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs this summer, with Arsenal and Tottenham also thought to be in the race to land the highly-rated Frenchman.
According to the Metro, United have now beat their rivals after having a £20million offer accepted, which could rise to £25million with bonuses.
Schneiderlin’s weekly wage will double from £60,000-a-week to £120,000-a-week when he seals his move to Old Trafford, joining Memphis Depay who signed for the club earlier in the month.
Southampton manager Ronald Koeman had hoped to keep hold of the box-to-box star but his departure could trigger another mass exodus on the south coast, with Liverpool closing in on the signing of full-back.
United have been searching for a new central midfielder to partner Michael Carrick since the end of last season, and it now appears as though they have found their man.
