Manchester United may have to include Angel Di Maria in a potential swap deal to sign Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger, according to reports from the Metro.
The 30-year-old emerged as a target for United boss Louis van Gaal earlier in the season, and with the transfer market set to open, a move could be a possibility.
Bayern manager Pep Guardiola considers the Germany international as a vital member of his squad, so despite the fact that he only has a year left on his deal, it is likely that he will do all he can to ensure his stay.
Schweinsteiger is said to only cost about £7.5million due to the length of his remaining contract, meaning if the Bundesliga giants are open to the swap, they must include a huge fee into the deal as well.
