Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly opened talks with Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia over a summer move to the Emirates, according to the Metro.
The France international has been a long time target of Arsene Wenger’s, but is in high demand after a fine season with Monaco, and is now thought to be a target for AC Milan.
But according to popular Italin journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Gunners are keen to step up their interest in the 22-year-old, and Wenger has moved quickly to open talks with him about a possible move to London this summer.
Milan are believed to have made an opening offer of £14.3m for the player, as they look to begin a rebuilding process under new boss Sinsa Mihajlovic, who replaced Pippo Inzaghi on Tuesday.
However, Milan’s cross-city neighbours Inter are now also said to be interested, and may spark a three-way race to land his signature.
