The Argentina international was the subject of an unsuccessful January offer from the Red Devils and is understood to have remained a target during the latter half of the season just gone.
United chief Louis van Gaal reportedly sees him as a good option to bolster his defensive options, and now it’s claimed that the player himself is ready to make the switch.
Otamendi is believed to have told Los Che that he wants out, with a move to United to link up with international compatriot Marcos Rojo appealing.
The Premier League giants are reportedly ready to pay £25m for the defender, however, Valencia want closer to £35m thanks to his role in helping them to a top four finish in La Lig
