Origi makes his first Premier League start due to Danny Ings, Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke being injured, and Daniel Sturridge not even fit enough for the the bench.
Sturridge is understood to have picked up a knee injury in training this week.
Klopp’s options are severely limited due to a length injury list, which sees Benteke, Firmino, Ings, captain Jordan Henderson, Jordan Rossiterand Joe Gomez all sidelined.
The back four picks itself, with Nathaniel Clyne, Martin Skrtel,Mamadou Sakho and Alberto Moreno lining up in front of Simon Mignolet.
The midfield looks set to feature Emre Can and Lucas Leiva in the two in front of the defence, with James Milner, Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana behind Origi.
It’s a very inexperienced bench, with youngster Jerome Sinclair Connor Randall and Joao Carlos Teixeira named in the squad.
No Liverpool manager since Graeme Souness in 1991 has won their opening league game at Liverpool. Rafa Benitez‘s first league game was also away to Tottenham in 2004, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
